device does not detect the USB extension cable?

I have a USB 2.0 card installed in the PCI slot on the old motherboard. When I connect a device using the USB extension cable DONT PC card in the device, but when I connect the device directly to USBCard device is detected. Pls help me.

I think the extension is too long, makes the USB voltage is dropped. under stress conditions is not possible to raise u'r USB device. Another explanation, extension is too strong (R) because the low quality cable trying to get a good wired Indonesia
